Best 4 Couples Night Out Ideas

There is NO shortage of activities to inform a fun night out (or even day for those inclined) for couples. Here are just 4 of my suggested activities for a Couples night out.

If you need specific date night ideas based on your city, here you are!

Experience more frequently and often! Enjoy, Live, Laugh, Love, and Make Memories!

Happy Hour and Dinner with Friends!

The only thing better than a night out for a couple is a night out with close friends. The classic double dinner date/party has never gone out of style (and we don’t expect it to any time soon). The more the merrier for these festivities! One, two, and even three couples together (or more), can make for an exciting and interesting evening of conversation and experiences. As a precursor to a dinner outing, look to see if there is a trendy/swanky bar or cocktail lounge in close proximity to where you are planning to dine. Indulge in an aperitif (or 2) to prepare the palette for a night of fine dining. This is just the warmup. If you have a nice rotation of couples, take turns planning the dinner venue and experience. This will keep things interesting and exciting. Dinner outings with friends are a great way to enjoy both time together with your spouse/mate and also share new and interesting experiences with friends. Laugh, wine, dine, smile, and enjoy! #foodies

A Cool Photo Shoot!

I have recently discovered, there is nothing like capturing moments of happiness together in a couples photoshoot. No matter where you may live, (city, suburb, rural, or whatever) take the opportunity to capture some visual magic with a professional photoshoot! Whether it is just a day outing to your favorite park or outdoor space, or visiting a new city or country, taking photos can be a fun, intimate, and unique experience. I’ve recently underestimated the “fun” part of the photoshoot experience. In a couple of recent photoshoots, I’ve found myself more relaxed and more importantly laughing more than normal. I felt like this has been the case for both of us. This is good stuff for the soul. We’ve even begun to schedule short photo sessions for our travels to new destinations. This is a great way to capture memories for a lifetime. One of my favorite parts of the process……. the anticipation building as you wait to see all of the pictures of you and your mate with all of your goofy faces and poses. 😊  #saycheese

Making a Complex Meal Together

They always say the best way to a person’s heart is through their stomach (well at least I believe that)! A fun Friday night can be centered with just you and your significant other taking a stab at making a new creative dish in the kitchen. Start by investing in a good cookbook that has a few meals that you’d like to try (oh and get some aprons to reduce the mess you are sure to make). After you select a meal option, take the adventure of going to the grocery store to hand-select all of the ingredients that will be featured in your joint collaboration. There is a true intrigue, excitement, and anticipation in seeing how your creation will turn out! It will be an intimate experience with real quality time as two souls work together. Make sure you pull out your favorite Vino or other beverage as you embark on this journey. Take lots of pictures (before and after) to capture the moment and be sure to share with friends and family! Before you know it, you will be hosting competitive “Couples cook-offs” in your home. Good luck and may the best Cooking Couple prevail! #bonappitite.

Rooftop/Patio Hopping

When the weather is great, it’s always exciting to try to spend some time outdoors. If you live in a city of any scale, chances are you have at least one, if not many rooftop bars. These venues are often times some of the best ways to take in a city (whether home or a city to visit). It can be quite romantic to take in a magical skyline with your mate along with a nice adult beverage of choice. If your city doesn’t have a rooftop (well they need to get one 😊), explore the availability of outdoor patios. These venues can offer equally as exciting experiences particularly in the right neighborhoods. One of our fondest memories, early on as a couple, was rooftop hopping in Chicago in the Summer of 2016 during our first date! It’s amazing how much a venue and the associated experience play a role in our fondest of memories. Get out there and start rooftop/patio hopping! #cheers
