One of my first rooftop experiences in Chicago, The Roof on the Wit is a Chicago staple and a rooftop to visit. This all-weather sky-high lounge, which has a retractable glass canopy on top, recently traded in its distinctly clubby vibe for a more refined look complete with wide leather booths, low-slung sofas, and modern lighting all over.
That means it is near perfect for a romantic date night out! While the bar program focuses on inventive and classic cocktails, bottle service, and huge size punches enough for a party of two, tasty shareable like cheese boards, flatbreads, sushi platters, and Parmesan fries are also available to liven things up at this wonderful place.

The ocean-inspired rooftop bar is 18 stories above South Beach, but it feels like it’s only a few feet away from the water. Watr is decked out in reclaimed wood, lighted by strings of lamps and features.
The restaurant’s new retractable rooftop allows visitors to enjoy the Japanese-Peruvian menu all year, particularly the delectable ceviche, quinoa bowls, and tartares. Their frozen cocktail menu and the excellent and authentic Pisco sour are not to be missed.
The music is more akin to breaking waves than the usual club bangers heard here. There’s something about this place’s laid-back vibe that makes you feel like you’re in a spa with frosé on tap—this is a well-deserved spot on some of the best rooftop bars in Miami.
Opening Hours:
4 pm – 11 pm (Wednesdays)
4 pm – 2 am (Fri & Saturdays)
4 pm – 12 am (Thursday & Sundays)
Little Havana’s buildings rarely rise above three or four stories, making the vistas from the neighborhood’s first open-air, elevated bar and restaurant in Miami all the more spectacular. Terras, perched atop the wonderfully charming Life House Hotel oozes appeal with lush foliage, big umbrellas, and soft couch setups that are retro-tiled with bistro-like lighting.
Above, there’s also a herb garden with various vegetables and herbs cultivated and harvested to flavor drinks and the menu’s various plant-based dishes.
Opening Hours:
9 am – 9 pm (Sun-Thursdays)
9 am – 11 pm (Fri & Saturdays)
High Bar is the pool bar for the fashionable Dream South Beach Hotel throughout the day (open to non-guests; you just need to order a cocktail). This retro-styled rooftop lounge offers stunning views of the Atlantic and a laid-back alfresco vibe where you can actually hear what your lover is saying at night. Face Down in the Pool, a rum and candied pineapple cocktail, is part of an entertainingly eclectic cocktail menu.
Highbar’s Dream Hotel’s 1970s-themed playground is built around an infinity pool and has everything you need to transition from day drinking to evening celebration, including a DJ spinning tunes, bottle service, and private cabanas. It’s also only a short distance from the beach. What about partying in a bikini? Hey, it happens all the time.
Vista is located in the lovely Upper Buena Vista shopping complex and serves some delicious rustic Italian cuisine and is one of the top rooftop restaurants in Miami. You should try to get a table on the rooftop terrace if possible.
With a large bar and a newly opened rooftop, Vista is a place where rustic Italian cuisine meets tropical boho ambiance. If you time it just so, you may be sipping $8 mules while watching the sun set during happy hour (4 to 7 p.m.).
There’s also enough to drink, with wines by the glass and bottles, and a small selection of handcrafted cocktails. If that isn’t enough to make you feel amorous, the cozy space is shaded by a 150-year-old banyan tree. Enjoy the shade with a drink in hand. Perfect for a conversation with your date!
(Note: temporarily closed, but you should definitely keep an eye out for it)

]]>Rooftop bars and restaurants abound, but which is the best for a romantic night out? We compiled a list of 12 of the best rooftops in Denver so read on for your next date night adventure!
Denver is the ideal city for an outdoor drink or meal, with over 300 days of sunshine and a thriving food and beverage scene. With summer quickly approaching and temperatures rising, there’s only one thing you need: a killer patio—OK, and possibly an equally killer drink.
When you combine breathtaking views with the thriving craft brewery and distillery scenes, you’ll look for a great rooftop spot to sip a brew, glass of wine, or craft cocktail.
Patios are common at restaurants throughout Denver, but great rooftop bars are few and far between.
We’ve got 12 of our favorite romantic rooftop bars in Denver listed below:
Opening Hours:
8 am – 10 pm (Tue-Saturdays)
Closed (Sun-Mondays)
Englewood’s Grow & Gather already has a lot going on: the former automotive shop now houses a hydroponic farm, urban garden, market, greenhouse, and the Feeder restaurant. However, one of the best places to enjoy all that hyper-locally grown produce is on the rooftop, at a table nestled between the greenhouse and the grow bed retaining wall.
Looking for tips? For brunch, try an On the Fence kombucha or a Huckleberry Roasters cortado, or for happy hour, try one of the house cocktails made with Family Jones spirits. Then, enjoy the romance with your partner on this rooftop restaurant in Denver.
Opening Hours:
4 pm – 11 pm (Mon-Wednesdays)
4 pm – 12 am (Thursdays)
1 pm – 12 am (Fridays & Saturdays )
54thirty, Denver’s highest open-air rooftop bar, is located on the 20th floor of the Le Meridien Hotel. The bar, named after its elevation of 5,430 feet, is popular—how could the city’s highest al fresco rooftop bar not be? So get there early or be prepared to wait. It provides plenty of sun during the day, fire pits on chilly nights, and Instagram cred at all times.
The Palisade Mule is a Colorado-inspired cocktail made with vodka, peach cordial, thyme, lime, and ginger beer. One of the best rooftop bars in Miami for a sun-kissed Instagram couple pic. Don’t you think?
Opening Hours:
3 pm – 10 pm (Tuesdays)
11 am – 10 pm (Wed, Thursday & Sundays)
11 am – 11 pm (Fri & Saturdays)
Los Chingones serves Mexican-inspired cuisine that, while not traditional, is delicious. Try the watermelon, jalapeno, and cilantro-tossed white fish ceviche or the Bad Ass Fundido. Believe it or not, the bartender is as inventive as the chef. The Panther Milk shot; we’ll leave it to you to figure out what’s in it.
Los Chingones also serves brunch, so sit on their sunny rooftop terrace with a bloody green mary and a chicken and waffle taco. Give us a reportif you had a great time at this Mexican rooftop restaurant in Denver. We will wait!
Opening Hours:
3 pm – 9 pm (Wed-Saturdays)
There is no bad seat in the house at Boulder’s Corrida. The upscale Spanish restaurant is built inside the former Daily Camera building’s glassed-in fourth floor, and its views of the Flatirons are breathtaking. The mountains are right there, whether you’re toasting from the expansive patio or the elegant dining room, providing the perfect backdrop for selfies or staring, depending on how you roll.
If a gin-tonic cart comes to your table, don’t hesitate to try it. And get some for your date too. *winks*
Opening Hours:
7 am – 10 pm (Sun-Thursdays)
7 am – 11 pm (Fri & Saturdays)
The Source Hotel’s eighth-floor rooftop bar and restaurant, the Woods, is one of our favorite places to take in the unrivaled combination of the city skyline and mountain views. The wraparound terrace is our favorite spot, but even indoor tables have views thanks to massive windowed garage doors. It’s even better when they’re flung open on nice days.
A rooftop restaurant in Denver with a view? Amazing drinks you can try while at it? A romantic spot for a night out? You’re very welcome!
Opening Hours:
11 am – 10 pm (Sun-Saturdays)
When the Golden Mill opened, it not only added more food options to the west side but also added a great rooftop to the Front Range’s already stellar lineup. The rooftop is the best seat in the house, or should we say on the house, with views of Table Mountain and the equally iconic Coors brewery.
Apart from the trendy food (hot chicken sandwiches! Birria gorditas! Poke! ), there’s a massive self-pour tap wall with 50 local craft beers.
You know you’ve got to try something from that tap wall – thank us now!
Opening Hours:
4 pm – 10 pm (Wed & Thursdays)
4 pm – 12 am (Fridays), 2 pm – 12 am (Saturdays)
2 pm – 9 pm(Sundays)
This rooftop bar in Denver is nothing short of amazing. Yard games? Check. Incredible views from a rooftop? Definitely. Fire pits for cool summer nights? The Red Barber has three. Is frozen wine on the menu? Yep. This rooftop patio atop the Catbird Hotel exceeds even the highest patio standards, fulfilling all your al fresco drinking fantasies.
Some amazing cocktails include the super-refreshing Millennial Falcon, which contains cucumber mint vodka, strawberry syrup, watermelon seltzer, and lemon. Don’t be shy to try it all!
Opening Hours:
11 am – 11 pm (Sun-Wednesdays)
11 am – 1 am (Thursday- Saturdays)
Seven restaurant concepts in one space! Avanti F&B is a “collective eatery” inspired by European markets and food truck roundups, with locations in LoHi (the Lower Highlands) and now Boulder, CO. That means you can eat at seven different restaurant concepts (which rotate every few months) under one modern roof.
An added benefit? The most successful Avanti concepts often expand out and get their separate locations, making the restaurant a great place to try brand new and up-and-coming Denver restaurants.
Head to the bar on either of the two floors for a cocktail, beer, or glass of wine. Then, head upstairs to one of the Mile High City’s favorite rooftop bars for stunning views of downtown Denver.
Avanti is always busy, so arrive early and expect a packed house and a good time.
Opening Hours:
6:30–10am, 11am–2pm, 3–9pm(Mon-Fridays)
6:30am – 2pm,3-9pm (Saturdays)
6:30am – 2pm,3-9pm (Sundays)
With a drink in hand, take in the views of Denver from Fire Terrace on the rooftop of the ART Hotel on Capitol Hill. You can eat and drink alfresco at this rooftop bar in Denver all year. Gather around the fire pit or relax in a more private setting with couches and umbrellas.
The menu includes inventive cocktails as well as seasonal bites from Colorado producers. The terrace is the best place to experience the cosmopolitan side of mountain life in a comfortable, upscale setting with stunning views of downtown Denver.
Opening Hours:
11 am – 1 am (Sun-Wednesdays)
11 am – 1.30 am (Thursday-Saturdays)
Tap Fourteen, located just steps away from Coors Field in LoDo’s Ballpark neighborhood, is a rooftop bar and beer garden just above Hayter’s & Co. With 70 Colorado beers and over 50 Colorado whiskeys, it’s a Colorado-sourced food menu.
Not a fan of beer or whiskey? They also have a menu with nine signature cocktails. Bites from the kitchen include beef, pork, and chicken raised in Colorado.
Take note – Tap Fourteen does not accept reservations.
Opening Hours:
4 pm – 1 am (Wednesday & Thursdays)
4 pm – 2 am (Fridays), 12 pm – 2 am (Saturdays)
12 pm – 12 am (Sundays)
The West End Tavern is a must-visit rooftop bar in Denver for whiskey and beer enthusiasts. Some of Colorado’s best beers are on tap, but The West End also has a long list of ultra-rare beers that are difficult to find anywhere else. The Avery Black Eye, a rum barrel-aged stout with an 18.5 percent ABV, is for the brave. It’s about $20, but you won’t need more than one.
Briar Common Brewery + Restaurant
Opening Hours:
11 am – 10 pm (Mon-Thursdays)
11 am – 11 pm (Fri & Saturdays)
11 am – 9 pm (Sundays)
Briar Common Brewery + Eatery is one of the best places to visit in Denver if you like breweries. This Clay Street brewpub specializes in delicious craft beer and bistro-style dishes in a modern industrial setting. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a long day exploring the city.
You and yours could have a double date and enjoy some of Briar’s best beers, including Das Bueno, Sour Seoul, Bee’s Knees, and Amnesia (which we love just for the name!). Must-order items on the all-day menu include steak + potatoes, green chili black bean burger, and a fried chicken sandwich. Briar also serves brunch on weekends!
There you have it. We hope this list of romantic rooftops makes it to your itinerary. There’s so much to explore for you and your date in the colorful city of Denver.

]]>Boise hosts a variety of lovely date-night spots. Some of our favorites are listed below:
Without further ado, here are some of the 5-star restaurants in Boise for an excellent date night below;
Goldy’s Breakfast Bistro wins when it comes to having one of the best brunches in town. Goldy’s has two Boise locations making it a bit easier to get your fix. The cuisine is simply delicious. Breakfast is available seven days a week, with fresh ingredients and various options. Goldy’s opens its doors at 6:30 a.m. on weekdays for early risers. Expect a line on weekends so be prepared to wait, but you will not be let down.
For almost a decade, this restaurant has been a Boise landmark. With 11 steaks from across the world served at this luxury farm-to-table steakhouse, Chandlers also has a fantastic range of fresh seafood. The dining room’s romantic setting, combined with live Jazz music makes this a smash for your sweetheart. The cuisine offers fresh foods from local sources and features superb seafood flown in from Hawaii and Alaska.
Water Bear Bar has a mountain tiki-style interior decor. It wows you with its decor and entire ambiance. That’s exactly what Water Bear Bar does! With their candle-lit area, the ceilings are draped with beautiful plants, the walls have unique decor, and everything is dark and lovely. Honestly, they have some of the best cocktails created in Boise and is known as one of the best spots for a quick drink before dinner or drinks and light bites in the evening.
During the summer, you’ll adore being able to select a variety of different foods from Kin’s tapas-style menu. It is highly recommended you check out their lavish multi-course dinners served on the weekends. These multi-course dinners are an adventure in and of itself, creating memorable experiences and meals – cheers!
Elena DeYoung’s culinary creations are likely to have been sampled if you’ve ever attended Boise’s annual Russian Food Festival. If you have a taste for the old country, this cuisine offers modern takes on traditional fare such as stuffed peppers, beef stroganoff, piroshkis, and blinis. There’s also a buffet of vegetarian borscht and shuba, which include layers of smoked salmon (rather than herring), shredded potatoes, carrots, and beets that you won’t find anywhere else in Boise.
One of our favorite eateries on this list is The Wylder! The pub board, for starters, is great. Their pizza is delicious (we recommend the Home Sweet Home, Crispy Pepperoni, and Yaya’s House Pizza).
The Wylder is open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner. There are no reservations; however, on weekends, I recommend arriving no later than 5:30 p.m. to ensure a table with almost no wait. During the warmer seasons, they open their modest outdoor patio – enjoy!
Located in the Boise Bench neighborhood, Petite 4 is beautifully furnished, and it reminds me of a restaurant in San Francisco. The chef is outstanding, and the food is French fusion. It’s a fantastic dining experience!
Writers suggestion; consider trying the scallops coupled with one of their delicious cocktails.
The Hyde House is located on the famous 13th Street in Hyde Park (Boise’s hipster neighborhood). The restaurant is housed in a charming Victorian home transformed into a lovely restaurant with a spacious deck. They serve farm-to-table meals that change with the seasons. They offer a terrific breakfast and lunch (you should try their artisanal scones, breakfast sandwich, and smoked salmon toast). The food is fantastic, and the patio is worth visiting for that special irreplaceable people watching!
Are you looking for a unique dining experience? Barbacoa Grill is the way to go. Their steaks, seafood, and general exotic atmosphere are unrivaled in the Boise area.
There you have it. We hope this list of nice restaurants in Boise makes it to your itinerary. There’s so much to explore for you and your date in the beautiful city of Boise. We hope you do nothing more than have a splendid time, and oh! Feel free to reference this list anytime.
As always, Cheers!
