Coloradans enjoy being outside as much as they enjoy eating and drinking, whether the weather is sunny, cloudy, or cool. But why choose favorites when you can do everything at once? There are even more patios to choose from since the pandemic too!  Many rooftops in Denver have bars and restaurants, and an expanded outdoor seating over the last two years thanks to programs offered by the City of Denver and several suburbs.

Rooftop bars and restaurants abound, but which is the best for a romantic night out? We compiled a list of 12 of the best rooftops in Denver so read on for your next date night adventure!

12 Best Romantic Bars and Rooftops In Denver

Denver is the ideal city for an outdoor drink or meal, with over 300 days of sunshine and a thriving food and beverage scene. With summer quickly approaching and temperatures rising, there’s only one thing you need: a killer patio—OK, and possibly an equally killer drink.

When you combine breathtaking views with the thriving craft brewery and distillery scenes, you’ll look for a great rooftop spot to sip a brew, glass of wine, or craft cocktail.

Patios are common at restaurants throughout Denver, but great rooftop bars are few and far between.

We’ve got 12 of our favorite romantic rooftop bars in Denver listed below:

Englewood Grow & Gather

Grow & Gather Englewood indoor garden

Opening Hours:

8 am – 10 pm (Tue-Saturdays)

Closed (Sun-Mondays)

Englewood’s Grow & Gather already has a lot going on: the former automotive shop now houses a hydroponic farm, urban garden, market, greenhouse, and the Feeder restaurant. However, one of the best places to enjoy all that hyper-locally grown produce is on the rooftop, at a table nestled between the greenhouse and the grow bed retaining wall.

Looking for tips? For brunch, try an On the Fence kombucha or a Huckleberry Roasters cortado, or for happy hour, try one of the house cocktails made with Family Jones spirits. Then, enjoy the romance with your partner on this rooftop restaurant in Denver.

54thirty

Opening Hours:

4 pm – 11 pm (Mon-Wednesdays)

4 pm – 12 am (Thursdays)

1 pm – 12 am (Fridays & Saturdays )

54thirty, Denver’s highest open-air rooftop bar, is located on the 20th floor of the Le Meridien Hotel. The bar, named after its elevation of 5,430 feet, is popular—how could the city’s highest al fresco rooftop bar not be? So get there early or be prepared to wait. It provides plenty of sun during the day, fire pits on chilly nights, and Instagram cred at all times.

The Palisade Mule is a Colorado-inspired cocktail made with vodka, peach cordial, thyme, lime, and ginger beer. One of the best rooftop bars in Miami for a sun-kissed Instagram couple pic. Don’t you think?

The Chingones

Los Chingones restaurant view

Opening Hours:

3 pm – 10 pm (Tuesdays)

11 am – 10 pm (Wed, Thursday & Sundays)

11 am – 11 pm (Fri & Saturdays)

Los Chingones serves Mexican-inspired cuisine that, while not traditional, is delicious. Try the watermelon, jalapeno, and cilantro-tossed white fish ceviche or the Bad Ass Fundido. Believe it or not, the bartender is as inventive as the chef. The Panther Milk shot; we’ll leave it to you to figure out what’s in it.

Los Chingones also serves brunch, so sit on their sunny rooftop terrace with a bloody green mary and a chicken and waffle taco. Give us a reportif you had a great time at this Mexican rooftop restaurant in Denver. We will wait!

Corrida

Opening Hours:

3 pm – 9 pm (Wed-Saturdays)

There is no bad seat in the house at Boulder’s Corrida. The upscale Spanish restaurant is built inside the former Daily Camera building’s glassed-in fourth floor, and its views of the Flatirons are breathtaking. The mountains are right there, whether you’re toasting from the expansive patio or the elegant dining room, providing the perfect backdrop for selfies or staring, depending on how you roll.

If a gin-tonic cart comes to your table, don’t hesitate to try it. And get some for your date too. *winks*

The Woods

The Woods rooftop restaurant view

Opening Hours:

7 am – 10 pm (Sun-Thursdays)

7 am – 11 pm (Fri & Saturdays)

The Source Hotel’s eighth-floor rooftop bar and restaurant, the Woods, is one of our favorite places to take in the unrivaled combination of the city skyline and mountain views. The wraparound terrace is our favorite spot, but even indoor tables have views thanks to massive windowed garage doors. It’s even better when they’re flung open on nice days.

A rooftop restaurant in Denver with a view? Amazing drinks you can try while at it? A romantic spot for a night out? You’re very welcome!

The Golden Mill

Opening Hours:

11 am – 10 pm (Sun-Saturdays)

When the Golden Mill opened, it not only added more food options to the west side but also added a great rooftop to the Front Range’s already stellar lineup. The rooftop is the best seat in the house, or should we say on the house, with views of Table Mountain and the equally iconic Coors brewery.

Apart from the trendy food (hot chicken sandwiches! Birria gorditas! Poke! ), there’s a massive self-pour tap wall with 50 local craft beers.

You know you’ve got to try something from that tap wall – thank us now!

The Red Barber

Opening Hours:

4 pm – 10 pm (Wed & Thursdays)

4 pm – 12 am (Fridays), 2 pm – 12 am (Saturdays)

2 pm – 9 pm(Sundays)

This rooftop bar in Denver is nothing short of amazing. Yard games? Check. Incredible views from a rooftop? Definitely. Fire pits for cool summer nights? The Red Barber has three. Is frozen wine on the menu? Yep. This rooftop patio atop the Catbird Hotel exceeds even the highest patio standards, fulfilling all your al fresco drinking fantasies.

Some amazing cocktails include the super-refreshing Millennial Falcon, which contains cucumber mint vodka, strawberry syrup, watermelon seltzer, and lemon. Don’t be shy to try it all!

Avanti

Opening Hours:

11 am – 11 pm (Sun-Wednesdays)

11 am – 1 am (Thursday- Saturdays)

Seven restaurant concepts in one space! Avanti F&B is a “collective eatery” inspired by European markets and food truck roundups, with locations in LoHi (the Lower Highlands) and now Boulder, CO. That means you can eat at seven different restaurant concepts (which rotate every few months) under one modern roof.

An added benefit? The most successful Avanti concepts often expand out and get their separate locations, making the restaurant a great place to try brand new and up-and-coming Denver restaurants.

Head to the bar on either of the two floors for a cocktail, beer, or glass of wine. Then, head upstairs to one of the Mile High City’s favorite rooftop bars for stunning views of downtown Denver.

Avanti is always busy, so arrive early and expect a packed house and a good time.

Fire Terrace

With a drink in hand, take in the views of Denver from Fire Terrace on the rooftop of the ART Hotel on Capitol Hill. You can eat and drink alfresco at this rooftop bar in Denver all year. Gather around the fire pit or relax in a more private setting with couches and umbrellas.

The menu includes inventive cocktails as well as seasonal bites from Colorado producers. The terrace is the best place to experience the cosmopolitan side of mountain life in a comfortable, upscale setting with stunning views of downtown Denver.

Not a fan of beer or whiskey? They also have a menu with nine signature cocktails. Bites from the kitchen include beef, pork, and chicken raised in Colorado.

Take note – Tap Fourteen does not accept reservations.

The West End Tavern

Opening Hours:

4 pm – 1 am (Wednesday & Thursdays)

4 pm – 2 am (Fridays), 12 pm – 2 am (Saturdays)

12 pm – 12 am (Sundays)

The West End Tavern is a must-visit rooftop bar in Denver for whiskey and beer enthusiasts. Some of Colorado’s best beers are on tap, but The West End also has a long list of ultra-rare beers that are difficult to find anywhere else. The Avery Black Eye, a rum barrel-aged stout with an 18.5 percent ABV, is for the brave. It’s about $20, but you won’t need more than one.

Briar Common Brewery + Restaurant

Opening Hours:

11 am – 10 pm (Mon-Thursdays)

11 am – 11 pm (Fri & Saturdays)

11 am – 9 pm (Sundays)

Briar Common Brewery + Eatery is one of the best places to visit in Denver if you like breweries. This Clay Street brewpub specializes in delicious craft beer and bistro-style dishes in a modern industrial setting. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a long day exploring the city.

You and yours could have a double date and enjoy some of Briar’s best beers, including Das Bueno, Sour Seoul, Bee’s Knees, and Amnesia (which we love just for the name!). Must-order items on the all-day menu include steak + potatoes, green chili black bean burger, and a fried chicken sandwich. Briar also serves brunch on weekends!

There you have it. We hope this list of romantic rooftops makes it to your itinerary. There’s so much to explore for you and your date in the colorful city of Denver.

Bar Bohemian is one of the most subtle rooftop bars in Los Angeles. This is partly owing to its small size, but for those who brave the winding stairs leading up to the small food hall, this cozy, primarily outdoor watering establishment offers everyday excellent vibes and even better cocktails. It really is a stunning place! With a gorgeous bush-lined terrace after sunset, it’s the perfect setting to meet an internet date or to gather with old friends.

The cocktail selection at Bar Bohemian is also full of unexpected surprises, with unusual distillers like locally manufactured Amass Botanicals and non-alcoholic Seedlip. For example, their La Bohéme cocktail combines gin or vodka with dry vermouth, maraschino cherry, and orange bitters for a powerful but sweet drink that will make your chest hair stand on end. 🙂

Hotel Erwin’s Rooftop Lounge

Beachside rooftops are unexpectedly scarce on the Westside, making Hotel Erwin’s rooftop lounge a popular hangout for friends, partners, boardwalk tourists, and anyone looking for views west of Lincoln Boulevard. Make a reservation, even if you’re staying at the hotel. There’s nothing like a brilliant sunset over the Pacific with a martini in hand to get your pulse pumping and keep the cocktails flowing. Is it becoming chilly outside?

Visitors in the evening can relax in one of the bar’s plush blankets while sipping spiced cocoa or a hot toddy. Stick to local craft breweries to mix with appetizers like gourmet sliders and street tacos.

The Eveleigh In West Hollywood

The Eveleigh in West Hollywood is a stunning and intimate rooftop restaurant with a rustic, charming patio atmosphere. The warm flickering glow of candles illuminates the room, allowing you to fully appreciate the glittering lights of the city below and the stars above. Seared diver scallops and heirloom tomatoes with burrata are among the dishes on the farm-to-table menu, which is influenced by country cooking. Romance awaits here.

The Wilshire Rooftop, Wilshire Boulevard

If you’re searching for poolside dining on a rooftop, the Kimpton Hotel Wilshire’s Rooftop Restaurant is the place to go. The Roof on Wilshire is a lush manicured facility that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day. The dynamic menu offers twists on American classics inspired by LA’s numerous nationalities. The food is served while overlooking the Hollywood Hills. Cheers!

The Highlight Room, Hollywood

The Highlight Room is a luxurious 11,000-square-foot outdoor rooftop lounge, pool, and grill, and is the crown jewel of the Dream Hotel in Hollywood. The menu, which is available for brunch, lunch, and dinner, features California-inspired cuisine, such as fresh salads, seafood, and vegetarian options. The views of the Los Angeles skyline and the Hollywood sign from the lush rooftop restaurant are unrivaled.

Elephante Beach House, Santa Monica

In the center of downtown Santa Monica, Élephante Beach House is a busy rooftop restaurant. The bohemian vibe and Continental food and drinks transport you to another world. You have the impression of being at the Italian seaside! The Pacific Ocean waves provide the vistas and soundtrack as you eat. Fried calamari, housemade pasta – including spicy vodka spaghetti – creamed eggplant served with freshly baked Puccia bread, and burrata pizza is among the menu’s highlights. Hungry yet?

Perch LA

Perch LA is most def a Downtown rooftop hotspot. Its breathtaking 360-degree views are now available! Take the elevator to the 15th floor and waltz through the eclectic interior of the bar and restaurant, which is filled with vintage oddities and colorful textiles. Then, pass through the arches and onto the outdoor terrace, surrounded by lush greenery and fire pits, to watch the sunset over the city. On the 16th floor, there is an open rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the city – breathtaking!

Margot LA

With Spanish-style tapas, seasonal artisan drinks, and a lovely blend of natural furnishings, contrasted with bright centerpieces, highlighted with vibrant tiles, and peppered with sun-loving plants, this Culver City hotspot embodies the best of the Mediterranean. Imagine yourself on a small Balearic coastal terrace with nothing but beautiful skies as your ceiling. If things get too hot or too cold, the greenhouse-like indoor portion is a charming place to go.

Terra

A Century City rooftop sanctuary perched atop the massive Eataly LA, Terra is a little slice of Italian heaven. Before stepping onto the sunny terrace with panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills, you’ll ascend a spiral staircase, catching a peek of the wood-burning grill where the lovely seasonal ingredients are brought to life. Terra focuses on seasonal foods cooked over open flames to bring out their rich aromas. Of course, nothing goes better with this earthy cuisine than herbal drinks or a fine Italian wine overlooking the Los Angeles cityscape. Bon Appétit!

There you have it. We hope this list of romantic rooftops in Los Angeles makes it to your itinerary. There’s so much to explore for you and your date in the beautiful city of L.A. We hope you do nothing more than have a splendid time, and oh! Feel free to reference this list anytime.

Make a weekend trip to Seattle for delicious food, fascinating sites, and picturesque views. Regardless of your preferences, the city’s restaurants are well-known for their delectable cuisine, and casual and friendly ambiance.

Choose from fresh seafood, delectable sandwiches, inventive farm-to-table meals, and unforgettable desserts. Date night often requires lavishness and elegance on the plate, whether it’s a piece of pink marbled tuna belly atop a bed of rice, slices of red-in-the-center ribeye, or nests of buttery tagliolini. Here are some of the most romantic restaurants in Seattle for a romantic night out.

Date Night Restaurants In Seattle

Canlis

Since 1950, the only restaurant in the city that can properly be classified as mystical has been located on the towering eastern tip of Queen Anne Hill. The midcentury partitioned architecture, the dress code (fancy attire encouraged), the finest mixed drinks in town, a variety-filled wine tasting menu, perfectionist quality of service, and the entire jaw-dropping sweep of Lake Union softly glowing just beyond the windows make this place just about as iconic as it gets around here.

The food is every bit as spectacular, thanks to the third generation of Canlis family restaurant owners’ insistence on culinary significance: both the Canlis salad, which is still on the menu, and the more creative Northwest multicourse meals are genuinely outstanding. The service has also been upgraded to a more inviting and classy brand.

Tat’s Deli

In the center of Seattle, Tat’s Deli provides guests with an authentic East Coast deli experience. This excellent little deli does not fail to deliver, from the vast menu of superb eat-in or take-out options, this deli located in the historic Pioneer Square neighborhood has a breakfast and lunch menu that includes typical deli staples, including Philly steaks, hoagies, hot subs, distinctive sandwiches, soups, salads, and sides.

Tat’s also has a food truck that may be spotted at several lunch places throughout town. Tat’s also caters to special events and gatherings. Get to it!

Terra Plata

Terra Plata (which means “earth-to-plate”) is a welcoming restaurant in the famed Melrose Market that serves a delectable cuisine of farm-to-table delicacies. Their enthusiasm for cuisine shines through in their unique and delectable plates, such as the water buffalo burger with taleggio, or the Yakima asparagus with fried duck egg. pickles, and arugula. Each dish is inspired by seasonal items from local growers and artisan suppliers.

Enjoy a selection of seasonally inspired handmade cocktails, locally brewed draft beer, or superb wines by the glass in the magnificent rooftop dining area overlooking the organic garden. Terra Plata definitely tops the list as one of the best nice restaurants in Seattle.

Matt’s In The Market!

Matt’s In The Market serves modern American lunch and dinner in the center of Pike Place Market. Pick this place for a distinctive Seattle dining experience. The lunch menu is short but excellent – the catfish and pulled-pork sandwiches are two consistent favorites – and the supper menu is constantly changing, depending on what’s available from the market stalls below.

Matt’s feels spacious and fresh during the day and romantic as the sun sets, thanks to its towering hardwood ceilings and checkerboard floors. The renowned market sign, Puget Sound, and the Olympic Mountains are all framed by large demi-lune windows with mural perspectives. Reservations are needed, so make a reservation early and request a seat with a view.

Cafe Campagne

Café Campagne, an impeccable Parisian-style restaurant hidden inside Post Alley in Pike Place Market, constantly serves excellently prepared French favorites. The famed lamb burger, handcrafted charcuterie, steak frites, and roasted trout have made this eatery particularly popular for weekend brunch.

Enjoy the frantic excitement of the market from a window seat or a table on the sidewalk terrace, or leave it all behind – the simple and classic décor of Café Campagne’s enormous dining space gives a comfortable retreat and seems personal, despite the masses. But, of course, it’s best to make a reservation, especially for weekend brunch.

The Pink Door

The Pink Door is a restaurant with an equal mix of Italian-American cuisine, unique entertainment, and warm, energetic service that has made it a popular local hangout. It wasn’t on purpose for this restaurant to appear more or less secretive, with no signpost indicating you’ve arrived at the appropriate location — just a pink door.

Organic Northwest vegetables from farmer’s tables are featured on the menu, and the bar’s cocktails are all made with freshly squeezed fruits. There’s also a large selection of pasta and a daily risotto special that’s typically a good bet!

The magical feeling of The Pink Door’s food, scenery, and service keeps regulars back, whether they’re tucked within the dining room, resting in the lounge, or outside basking in the terrace views overlooking Elliott Bay.

Pestle Rock

It’s a restaurant sweet spot, it’s lantern-lit and nice enough for a casual Saturday night out, with enough food to feed the whole family without breaking the bank. Most significantly, this tiny eatery of a restaurant is on Ballard’s main street. It preaches the intense, spicy gospel of Thailand’s Isan area, employing high-quality proteins such as a nam tok pork salad made extra delicious with deceptively peppery Thai sausage rolls. The khao soi curry noodle soup is a must-try as well.

Dacha Diner

At Dacha Diner, guests are greeted by warm yellow light and the smells of baking pastries. This wedge-shaped Capitol Hill restaurant, which used to be a boisterous equilibrium, now feels quiet and welcoming. Many meals are made or baked to order. Start with the dumplings: the pelmeni and vareniki—the former filled with fragrant beef and pork, the latter with tart farmers’ cheese. The dishes are petite, delicious, and ideal for sharing.

Then there’s Adjarian khachapuri, a Georgian pizza with a runny egg on top. Alternatively, try a bowl of matzo ball soup. And, if there’s still room, there’s a brisket in its demi-glace cemetery.

We hope one of these amazing date night restaurants in Seattle makes it to your itinerary. Feel free to always come back to reference this list. Oh, and don’t forget to have fun. Hope you enjoyed the read. Cheers!

Valentine’s Day feels like it just happened, right? Well, if you want to relive that moment, show your love by planning the most romantic date possible. From going on a romantic hike to dining at a favorite restaurant, there are plenty of date ideas out there that will make your lover’s heart race in anticipation. It’s the experience we cherish most in a relationship. The stature when you feel closer to your partner is the moment of what we actually call ‘Love’.

“Dating, whether it’s your 15th or 150th, is one of the easiest and most effective ways to keep your relationship healthy and long-lasting,” words by Esther Boykin, licensed marriage and family therapist and author of the novel “The Date Deck”

The Most Romantic Date Ideas to Fall Deeper In Love

There are many ways to have a romantic date with your partner. This article will tell you some of the most popular ideas that can help you in planning the perfect date.

1.    Plan a Surprise Romantic Date At Home

Surprises, just as long as all parties are comfortable with the idea, can really provide an added boost in a relationship. You can plan a surprise for your love like a sudden meet-up after a tiring day.

Small Things Matter the Most.

Unplanned surprises are most memorable. Make sure you take care of every small detail like what to cook or how to dress, what movies to play, and how to engage with each other in the most sensual ways possible.

Make your partner feel special – cherish them with love and special gifts. Calm your partner by watching TV with a bottle of their favorite wine. Feed them strawberries and chocolate. Whatever it is you do, always remember just one simple fact – dating is so much more than you think it is.

2.    Bonfire with Your Date

If you want to keep the fire alive, you should sit by the fire, on a sexy evening, with your soul mate. Stare into one another’s eyes. Stay silent and relish in one another’s company, because time can never be replaced. As you enjoy the moments of your relationship with your love, let them know exactly how you feel about them.

3.    Role play Dating

Couples who are romantic and erotic at the same time have fruitful and long-lasting relationships. You know the couples that say to one another “Let’s try something new.”

The best way to maintain a fire burning inside is to always embrace romance. Let your partner know your desires in bed and outside the bed. Dress in your sexy attire. Turn your partner on and wait for a great night of love and affection you may have never experienced before together. When your partner says, let’s do it all over again, you know you have done something right. Cheers!

4.    Hot Air Balloon Ride

A hot air balloon ride is also a well-known method to make your romantic date more peaceful and sparkling at the same time. It is the ride that offers time to express your feelings to one another in what feels like heightened silence, with a view surrounding you. You can talk about the intensity of love between both of you, or simply kiss passionately as you engross yourself in this new experience. Some sample romantic date questions are listed below.

  • What’s your favorite habit while lovemaking?
  • What do you like about me?
  • What would be an adventure you would like to experience next?

Or you could pop the question of all lifetimes…“Will you marry me?” Just in case you need to know if you have found the Right One, we are here for you!

5.    Rent a Paddle Boat

Renting a boat will for sure make for a romantic date idea. The scenic and romantic vibe a boat and water offer are truly irreplaceable.

6.    Cooking Together Date Night

There’s nothing quite as romantic and simple as a dinner date night. Whether you’re going out to a nice restaurant or cooking your own meal at home, a dinner date is a perfect way to get to know your partner better.

From the best recipes to kitchen tips, we’ll have you cooking up a storm in no time!

Easy Dishes to Cook Together:

  • Pasta
  • Steak with wine
  • Shrimp dish

Candlelight dinners are a popular romantic option that can be enjoyed in any setting. Whether you’re looking for a candlelight dinner for two or a romantic dinner for a large group, both are perfect for couples looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Plus, candlelight dinners are a unique way to show your love and appreciation for each other.

Few of the Benefits of Candlelight Dinners:

  • They help you wind down after a long day.
  • They promote relaxation and improved sleep patterns.
  • They boost your mood and make you feel happier.
  • They help you bond with family and friends.

Dating nowadays is more technology-based, but you can make introduce a perfect date night by removing on-demand tech access by simply tucking your mobile devices away.

A romantic restaurant is always a win-win situation, whether you’re on a first date looking for that special someone, trying to escape the kids for a night out, or simply spending a quiet meal together.

Miami is the ideal place to fall in love. It’s the aqua ocean, balmy breezes, and sultry Latin flavor that gives exactly you exactly what you want. And then top off your experience,  there are the irresistible sunsets. All that to say, Miami has some fantastic romantic options for many things, restaurants included.

9 Best Date Night Restaurants in Miami

When it comes to date night, picking where to eat should be high on the priority list. Are you looking for something warm and intimate, such as a cozy Miami bar that also serves as a great place to snack in between drinks? Or are you more of a purist, swayed by mood lighting and oversized booths that encourage cuddling? Perhaps you simply enjoy a good view, in which case any of Miami’s waterfront restaurants will suffice. Whatever your taste and preference, this list of romantic restaurants in Miami will come in handy the next time bae suggests a romantic outing.

Hiyakawa

Consider Hiyakawa if you’re looking for something a touch more upscale when it comes to sushi. The Wynwood spot isn’t inexpensive, but it’s a good bet for a very wonderful supper in an ambiance that’s ideal for that pricey little piece of clothing you haven’t had a decent occasion to wear it to yet. The magnificent, curving wooden architecture that makes this restaurant feel like a luxurious cave is the first thing you’ll notice when you come in. However, your focus will ultimately shift to the meal.

The menu is divided into several sections, including tiny appetizers, grilled and steamed foods, fried dishes, soups, and some of Miami’s most fantastic sushi. When ordering, make sure to sample something from each section of the menu,  especially the Sugata-more starter.

Los Felix;

Perhaps you want to wow your date by inviting them to your obscenely cool apartment and impressing them with your culinary prowess? That may seem like a cool idea in your head, but let’s be real, you don’t have time for all that. It’s OK—just go to Los Félix in Coconut Grove, a Mexican restaurant that comes the closest to the dinner party you’re incapable of arranging. The dining area here feels more like a friend’s minimalist apartment, complete with a well-placed candle and just the right amount of talking music. The crew appears to have earned a Master’s Degree in the art of throwing a dinner party.

And the food—squash blossom quesadillas, tetela, and pig cheek carnitas—comes in good servings that won’t leave either of you feeling overstuffed. Plus, they dim the lights and play music from a DJ in the dining area on weekends. A little dance-off after dinner would be fun, wouldn’t it?

Pinch Kitchen;

Pinch is the place to go on those dates when you don’t want to look like you’re trying too hard but still need to put in a little effort. This Upper East Side restaurant is unpretentious enough that your date won’t think you’re going to propose, but it also serves dependably outstanding meals fit for a special occasion. After a piece of the burger or spicy octopus, your date will be convinced that you are the type of person who knows where to get excellent cuisine.

Soya E Pomodoro;

You should at least get a courteous “Thanks for dinner!” SMS the next morning if you have jazz and excellent pasta. But, whatever, you’ll be glad you came. Even if it’s only to add this to your list of places to take future dates, which will hopefully appreciate this excellent/random little Italian eatery on the side of a downtown office building. Come for the live jazz on Thursday through Saturday, and order the fazzoletti di Formaggio e pera, which you’ll have to share with your date after they try this delicious pear and ricotta pasta.

Amara At Paraiso;

Michael Schwartz’s Amara at Paraiso is positioned on Biscayne Bay and features a lush interior and outdoor seats with a view of the water. Amara at Paraiso is a “love letter to Miami,” according to the James Beard Award-winning chef, who is best known for Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink. Latin American-inspired foods are on the menu, prepared on a wood grill and in a Josper charcoal oven. Crispy octopus with braised yuca and short rib, chorizo, sweetbreads, and steak parrillada are all standouts. This restaurant is so romantic that it offers a special marriage proposal package with front-row seats, a photographer, and a special meal.

Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard And Bar;

Taking your Southwest Dade sweetheart out on Valentine’s Day used to entail going from chain restaurant to chain restaurant along Kendall Drive to see who had the shortest wait for a table. Thanks to the arrival of Chef Adrianne, those days are long gone. With the greatest charbroiled oysters south of Biloxi and the peaceful music of the T&C fountain, waterside dining doesn’t get any more romantic inland. Couples can unwind by perusing one of South Florida’s most excellent wine lists, then indulge in a burrata bar item and a perfectly cooked Mishima Reserve Wagyu Osso Bucco.

Boia De;

This cozy yet unassuming restaurant is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood strip mall, but it is a favorite for date night. It offers some of the city’s most unique dishes, such as potato skins topped with stracciatella, caviar, crumbled hard-boiled egg, lamb ribs, fra diavola with spicy pickles, and more! For a more personal dining experience, sit at the bar or one of the tables outside at this restaurant led by top chefs.

Macchialina;

Even if you’re dining alone, Macchialina is one of the best restaurants in South Beach. However, the excellent pasta restaurant is also a great place to take a date. They have a large wine list, the most fabulous pasta in town, and have recently built some post-pandemic outdoor seating that is covered so that a passing downpour doesn’t ruin the experience. It’s quiet enough to have a good conversation here, but not so quiet that your date hears you chewing your food – or the strange little noises you’ll make when you understand how good it is.

Orilla Bar And Grill;

Orilla is a fantastic place to wear that look you’ve been planning on taking to your next vacation. The South of Fifth Argentinian hangout doesn’t have a rigorous clothing code; in fact, it’s pretty relaxed. On the other hand, Orilla is the kind of stylish, excellent restaurant where you and your daring clothing will be welcomed. In addition, the food is excellent. The arancini, roast chicken, and exceptional wagyu cheeseburger are all delicious. The cocktails here are also fantastic – just be cautious not to spill any of them on your good dress.

Need some special date night ideas wherever you are – we are here for you!

There you have it. We hope this list of restaurants makes it on your itinerary. There’s so much to explore for you and yours in the beautiful city of Miami. We hope you do nothing more than have a splendid time, and oh! Feel free to reference this list anytime.

Cheers!

Discovering all that the Windy City has to offer will take a number of trips, a funnel of endless dollar bills, and an empty stomach ready to embark on devouring more eats and drinks. There is so much to do, so much to see, and more to experience than what meets the eye. I say, take the time to see the tourist attractions, walk the Magnificent Mile strip, then hightail your butt to the number of rooftops waiting for your special date night.

With a first date that ended after 8 hours, covered 3 locations, and started a relationship in which we now plan every vacation visit around rooftops, this my friends, is our specialty. Let’s get to the best rooftop date night ideas we love in Chicago.

1. LondonHouse Chicago

I remember the days of long lines just to enter this place. This was the second location on the infamous 8 hour first date night. We were full enough from our Mexican meal, but we kept the drinks coming. This place has an irreplaceable view of the Chicago River with a row of buildings on each side. It is the place we saw an NBA player (I don’t remember his name) and we peered into the distance into the night. It was perfect.

2. Streeterville Social

This place is great for a mature evening out. Nested in the best of Streeterville, you see a different angle of Chicago with a view of the NBC tower. It’s a chill vibe, lots of seating, and a grassy area for games on the appropriate evening. If you are looking for a spot for a private event, this is it.

3. IO Godfrey

True memories and magic happened here. Having eaten and drunk our way into lots of smiles, this is where Logan nervously said his first, “I love you.” We shared an unforgettable moment on a beautiful Saturday afternoon with delectable salmon and great champagne. IO Godfrey is the trendy place to enjoy an evening with great music, quality, well-dressed people, Chicago views as the backdrop, and more memories to be made.

4. Cerise Virgin Rooftop

This was a rooftop visit that was cool, but not our absolute fave. Although a decent ambiance, the views are not necessarily stellar. From what I hear though, the nightlife party there is lit, and rightfully so considering the well-known DJs known to spin there.

5. J Parker

I cannot even count how many times we have frequented this place. A go-to location for friends and family visitors in town, J Parker is a gift made to impress. The food is great. The cocktails are phenomenal and the music will keep you on your feet. There aren’t many seats, but who needs seats when you are dancing. Just know, my mom was feeling it here and talks about it still to this day. The views of Lincoln Park and Lake Michigan are unforgettable. To see the span of greenery with the lake behind gives you the serenity to ask for 1 more cocktail!

6. Soho House Chicago Rooftop

This is a must-add because of the exclusivity. As a members-only club, if you ever have a chance to be a guest at this place, don’t miss out. The rooftop experience is one to remember. With a pool, poolside service, and food and cocktails to match the mood of options and access, it is worth finding a friend that is a member; just to say, “I’ve been there.”

7. Raised

I fell in love with this destination on the 3rd floor of the Renaissance Hotel. I think I may have been surprised by the view considering its location and level, but it surprisingly did not disappoint. With its circular architecture and bar placed in the center of the rooftop, even while sitting at the bar, your view is pleasing to the eye. Give it a try and report back with some Instagrammable moments to match.

8. The Up Room

Talk about sophistication. The Robey Hotel is in Wicker Park placed on the historic “six corners” intersection. The rooftop is a boutique-like experience on the 13th floor with a pool on one side, and views on both. I love the perspective provided as you look across the city of Chicago from the Northside. The views are vastly different, and you seem to have a greater understanding of the scale of the city while sipping on specialty cocktails. Slide on into the indoor portion and enjoy the refined environment.

9. Whiskey Business

Catch a vibe here. Whiskey Business is in the Wicker Park neighborhood too. When you need a good activity, combined with good tasting bar food and drinks – hit up Whiskey Business. The team here is so creative in making this rooftop all-season friendly. They offer movie nights, tiki-themed events, individual pools to soak in, bocce ball, igloos, curling and so much more! I highly recommend hopping on in and trying a number of whiskeys, or even a tequila (my favorite) beverage. They have a decent selection of both.

10. Roof on The Wit

As one of the first rooftop bars to garner local and national attention, Roof on The Wit set the trend. Having been newly renovated within the past few years, Roof on The Wit is a great place when you want a rooftop experience, without having to be outdoors. Known to have some of the best fashion events, Roof on The Wit is worth making time for.

11.  Cindy’s Rooftop

I always tell everyone to go here! We discovered this prized destination years ago after heading out of the Art Institute of Chicago. I looked up and noticed plenty of people standing close to the edge, and told Logan, “We should go see what it is.” Our nosey selves ended up experiencing one of the best rooftop experiences in the city. The view encapsulates the essence of what you need to have a true Chicago experience. From skyscrapers to Millennium Park, Lake Michigan, and even some of the Southside of Chicago; what you get to see is truly unmatched. We absolutely love enjoying the hip, stylish atmosphere while sipping on an array of select craft cocktails. You will adore the view, the seasonal fare, and the service. Get to it!

Added Bonus Restaurant: Mercadito Chicago River North – When my honey bunches of oats, AKA my husband, Logan, took me out on our first date, he asked me what my favorite food was. A sista told him Mexican, and he ended up taking me to my now favorite Mexican restaurant in Chicago. The food was incredibly tasty, so much so, I ate my food so fast, I wanted to cross over to his plate to cop some of what he had. I prevented myself though, but only that one night. It was just our second date! All I remember were the lobster tacos, the hunger I barely quenched because I starved myself waiting for the yummy food, the refreshing watermelon margaritas, and an ambiance that is hip, quaint, but active enough for a first date impression. Cheers!
