Coloradans enjoy being outside as much as they enjoy eating and drinking, whether the weather is sunny, cloudy, or cool. But why choose favorites when you can do everything at once? There are even more patios to choose from since the pandemic too!  Many rooftops in Denver have bars and restaurants, and an expanded outdoor seating over the last two years thanks to programs offered by the City of Denver and several suburbs.

Rooftop bars and restaurants abound, but which is the best for a romantic night out? We compiled a list of 12 of the best rooftops in Denver so read on for your next date night adventure!

12 Best Romantic Bars and Rooftops In Denver

Denver is the ideal city for an outdoor drink or meal, with over 300 days of sunshine and a thriving food and beverage scene. With summer quickly approaching and temperatures rising, there’s only one thing you need: a killer patio—OK, and possibly an equally killer drink.

When you combine breathtaking views with the thriving craft brewery and distillery scenes, you’ll look for a great rooftop spot to sip a brew, glass of wine, or craft cocktail.

Patios are common at restaurants throughout Denver, but great rooftop bars are few and far between.

We’ve got 12 of our favorite romantic rooftop bars in Denver listed below:

Englewood Grow & Gather

Opening Hours:

8 am – 10 pm (Tue-Saturdays)

Closed (Sun-Mondays)

Englewood’s Grow & Gather already has a lot going on: the former automotive shop now houses a hydroponic farm, urban garden, market, greenhouse, and the Feeder restaurant. However, one of the best places to enjoy all that hyper-locally grown produce is on the rooftop, at a table nestled between the greenhouse and the grow bed retaining wall.

Looking for tips? For brunch, try an On the Fence kombucha or a Huckleberry Roasters cortado, or for happy hour, try one of the house cocktails made with Family Jones spirits. Then, enjoy the romance with your partner on this rooftop restaurant in Denver.

The bar, named after its elevation of 5,430 feet, is popular—how could the city’s highest al fresco rooftop bar not be? So get there early or be prepared to wait. It provides plenty of sun during the day, fire pits on chilly nights, and Instagram cred at all times.

The Palisade Mule is a Colorado-inspired cocktail made with vodka, peach cordial, thyme, lime, and ginger beer. One of the best rooftop bars in Miami for a sun-kissed Instagram couple pic. Don’t you think?

Los Chingones serves Mexican-inspired cuisine that, while not traditional, is delicious. Try the watermelon, jalapeno, and cilantro-tossed white fish ceviche or the Bad Ass Fundido. Believe it or not, the bartender is as inventive as the chef. The Panther Milk shot; we’ll leave it to you to figure out what’s in it.

Los Chingones also serves brunch, so sit on their sunny rooftop terrace with a bloody green mary and a chicken and waffle taco. Give us a reportif you had a great time at this Mexican rooftop restaurant in Denver. We will wait!

There is no bad seat in the house at Boulder’s Corrida. The mountains are right there, whether you’re toasting from the expansive patio or the elegant dining room, providing the perfect backdrop for selfies or staring, depending on how you roll.

If a gin-tonic cart comes to your table, don’t hesitate to try it. And get some for your date too. *winks*

The Source Hotel’s eighth-floor rooftop bar and restaurant, the Woods, is one of our favorite places to take in the unrivaled combination of the city skyline and mountain views. The wraparound terrace is our favorite spot, but even indoor tables have views thanks to massive windowed garage doors. It’s even better when they’re flung open on nice days.

A rooftop restaurant in Denver with a view? Amazing drinks you can try while at it? A romantic spot for a night out? You’re very welcome!

The Golden Mill

When the Golden Mill opened, it not only added more food options to the west side but also added a great rooftop to the Front Range’s already stellar lineup. The rooftop is the best seat in the house, or should we say on the house, with views of Table Mountain and the equally iconic Coors brewery.

Apart from the trendy food (hot chicken sandwiches! Birria gorditas! Poke! ), there’s a massive self-pour tap wall with 50 local craft beers.

You know you’ve got to try something from that tap wall – thank us now!

Head to the bar on either of the two floors for a cocktail, beer, or glass of wine. Then, head upstairs to one of the Mile High City’s favorite rooftop bars for stunning views of downtown Denver.

Avanti is always busy, so arrive early and expect a packed house and a good time.

The Avery Black Eye, a rum barrel-aged stout with an 18.5 percent ABV, is for the brave. It’s about $20, but you won’t need more than one.
